Canada brings down ax on TV, film funding

... the cuts could benefit American TV producers if CBC is forced to buy cheaper U.S. fare because it can't afford to fund local production.

    This is what happens when the networks in Canada simply bilked millions from the government only to sweep their home grown content under the rug anyway.
