David knows all about choices. Bigger, better, younger, richer, faster -- these are his benchmarks. Leaving his wife and daughter for better opportunities on the other side of the world was easy. The payoff was money, freedom and fun. He deserved it. He earned it.

 When the doctor tells him he has only three months to live, his lack of future brings his past into stark relief. Who will care about his big house, expensive car and designer watch when he is dead? Who will care about him?

 The pilot for "This Human Body" opens as David struggles with his diagnosis and what it means. He wants to video blog his last weeks for his 8 year old daughter, so that he can prove that he loved her. He doesn't want to be forgotten.
