Harper's hit a modest note out of the gate, then declined with each episode. The network still plans to air all the remaining Harper's episodes, with the finale set for July 11.

Owch...But, I'm really not surprised. No bashing on CBS or any one, mind you, but the show has been struggling since its beginning. What could've been a mystery-horror series became sort of a strange mish-mash of PG-13 horror and soap-opera antics that fail to actually engage or interest any one. Perhaps it would've fared better on another CBS Corporation/VIACOM owned station, like maybe The CW, where it could have shown a bit more...Oomph, for back of another word. It's sad to see it wander off to Saturday will it will with out a doubt lose many of it's viewers.
ReplyDeleteStill, I'm glad to see Harper's Globe seems to be doing well. The fact that this "promotional material" has created it's own fanbase and seems to keep a steady above-average viewer base makes me quite happy.
The show sucks. There is no point in sugar coating it. What part of the show failed? Every part. There is no point in listing what I found wrong with it. Hopefully Harper's Globe can survive on it's own.
