♥GET YOUR GH ON... Rivalries, Adventure & Returns...

There has been so much going on as General Hospital speeds towards its' 50th Anniversary, I felt the need to update you, so here's the scoop...

First, there have been lots of exits over the past couple of months- Scott Reeves who began in October 2009 taking over the role of Steven Lars Weber was let go and his character sent off to prison for the murder he facilitated years ago. At this point Robin Mattson has been hauled off to a mental institution after taking the rap for Todd's part in the baby switching fiasco- no more STEVEN LARS virtual tequila and BLT's! Will miss her ALOT! We learned 2 weeks ago that our Hot Johnny Brandon Barash is leaving after 7 years and the biggest upset was hearing Julie Marie Berman wanted out as well, with her final scenes airing March 22nd.

This afternoon news broke that Lindsey Morgan, who took over the role of Kristina Davis after Lexi Ainsworth was let go, is out! She posted this on her Facebook page:

"It is with a heavy heart I have to announce that my time at Port Charles has come to an end. I’m not sure where Kristina is headed next but it was a beyond amazing opportunity to portray her…be part of the Davis Girls…have the Corinthos’ passion and temper run though my veins and to witness history being made on this momentous show! I learned so much and am so grateful for the friendships I’ve made and experiences I’ve had. GH will always have a special place in my heart and I cannot thank y’all enough for tuning in loyally to watch me live my dream. But more importantly, THANK Y’ALL for your endless love, letters, support, encouragement, kind words, even the little hello’s or a sweet smiley face…that love kept me going when I had difficulty navigating through Kristina’s and my own journey this past year. Whenever I felt lost, I never truly felt alone and for that, I am eternally gratefully. Thank you for your generosity. Thank you for your love. Thank you. Now keep watching GH!! The Nurses’ Ball is mere days away!! All my love and see you on the next adventure, xoxo Lindsey"

What does this mean? Will Lexi Ainsworth get a recurring contract and return? The actress is currently filming a pilot called Westend, a Romeo & Juliet-esq show that would be on ABC, however she won't know if it will get picked up until end of May. Could this leave the door open for Lexi to return for a short time? It all remains to be seen.

All of us on RHeart wish Lindsey the best of luck in the future. I met her during last years' Fan Club Weekend and she is such a sweet person, excited to have been on GH. Both her and Erik Valdez (ex-Trey) are very down-to-earth and I had a fun chatting with them on RHeart.

Last year when One Life To Live transplants Michael Easton, Roger Howarth and Kris Alderson were integrated into the General Hospital canvass, fans were mixed about it. Fast forward to a year later- fans were in an uproar when they heard they were headed back to Llanview for the OLTL revival and Prospect Park refused to release ownership of the characters John McBain, Todd and Star Manning. The actors themselves are contracted with ABC, who paid Prospect Park to utilize the characters on General Hospital. However when Jeff Kwatinez and Frank Rich finally got the backing for The Online Network to produce All My Children and One Life To Live on the web, they reclaimed

ownership. Both Roger and Kris have returned for a short stint in Llanview as a thank you to fans, which is slated to air 12:00pm (ET) April 29th, exclusively on HULU. Michael Easton did not go back that I know of and on February 8 he posted a picture of McBain's boots on his Facebook page, "In case this is the last time...thank you for letting me walk in your shoes." On March 25th word came down that ABC decided not to pursue the fight to keep the names of the characters and announced the trio will return to General Hospital as new characters. I have no doubt it'll be an interesting transition with talented Ron Carlivati at the helm. While there are lots of rumors, there has been nothing to substantiate any of them but I will keep you posted when I hear directly from ABC as to what characters they will play.

As the show inches closer to its' 50th Anniversary, we have seen the return of a lot of fan favorites, including Jack Wagner, Kristina Wagner, Ian Buchanan, Tristan Rogers, Anders Hove, Constance Towers, Genie Francis, Tyler Christopher, Jackie Zeman, Lynn Herring and Jon Lindstrom. The veterans are back in full force and more are coming this week! Ingo Rademacher returns as Jax with Vanessa Marcil in tow. Rachel Ames, Stuart Damon, Chris Robinson, Rick Springfield and crazy enough, Richard Simmons! But that's not all! Apparently there is a HUGE surprise return coming that the cast and crew have been sworn to keep secret during a covert operation briefing. I've learned that my favorite hottie Nathan Parsons was on set for a 2-day shoot with rumors abound that Ethan has been brainwashed by Helena and will ultimately pay the price with his life when he saves Luke and Laura. This will be a sad moment for me but I'm glad to see him on GH one last time.

The Nurses' Ball begins March 29th and will run through April 2nd. Look for a lot of fun performances by Jack Wagner (slated to sing Lady of My Heart), Rick Springfield (slated to sing Jesse's Girl), Sonya Eddy (Epiphany), Teresa Castillo (Sabrina) and Marc Samuel (Felix). Another exciting performance will be Kelly Monaco with her Dancing With The Stars partner Val Chmerkovskiy, who came in 3rd last season. Liz and AJ are set to perform, as well as Patrick and little Emma. Will Patrick finally spill the beans and tell Sabrina he has feelings for her despite her attempts to move on in a new romance with PC's own 'Magic Milo'? I hope so! While I'm a HUGE Scrubs fan, it is my understanding Kimberly is not returning any time soon on a permanent basis and Jason Thompson told fans at a recent fan event he signed for another year on GH. If Patrick and Sabrina do get together, Britch and her mother Dr. Olbrecht have hatched a plan against both of them...I just hope it doesn't drag out for very long like the Lisa Niles storyline.

As Port Chuck residents begin to rehearse under Lucy's watchful eyes, lots of drama is going on elsewhere in town as Anna, Dante, Luke, Laura continue their search for Lulu. Another location shoot chock full of helicopters and shootings are bringing vintage adventure back to the show that began the trend! What will the search team find at the Haunted Star? It'll be an unexpected surprise and I have a feeling, Ethan OR Lucky could be under Helena's control! What does this mean? Stay tuned...

With so many returns, a kick ass storyline and vintage GH this week is one not to be missed! Special thanks to Executive Producer Frank Valentini, Head Writer Ron Carlivati for their amazing talent, as well as vision for the show and ABC for supporting General Hospital for 50 years!

5 Ways To Attract Talented Collaborators To Your Web Series Project

You can write the most brilliant script for a web series, but without a cast and crew to bring that script to life, the document means very little on paper, or on your computer’s hard drive.

Below I list 5 ways to attract collaborators and partners to your web series projects.

1. Discovery – You must first search and find the cast and crew members needed. Your pre and post production members can work remotely, but you need your cast and crew to be together on location. Be sure to network in your local film community. Connect with local people online via social networks, and it is key to get out to local events where you can meet people face to face. Spidvid is a useful site where you can connect, collaborate, create web series content with both local and remote members.

2. Sell them – Once you have built up some initial interest you then have to convince individuals why they should invest their time and talent into your web series project. Money always talks but more often than not I’m seeing that money isn’t always the top choice if the individual is a big talent who wants to work on something they believe in, can fully get behind, and are passionate about.

3. Compensation besides cash – As I mentioned above, money isn’t always the most important thing to attract an individual to a web series. Perhaps the most powerful way to really get the best out of someone else is offer them a vested stake in your project. It can be a simple partnership agreement where they will be given credit, content equity, and perhaps financial compensation if the web series brings in revenues through advertising or sponsorship.

4. Interests and topics – If you enjoy making cooking videos then you would likely prefer a video editor on your team that’s big on cooking, versus one that eats out all time and could care less about the art and process of cooking. Find the talent you need, but also be on the lookout for matching interests as well because your end product will be of a higher quality if personal interests align and mesh well together. You will feel the love, and so will your web series!

5. Long term relationships – Once you have collaborated with someone else you get a feel for how they go about the video production process. Everyone manages every aspect of a project differently, so it can be a bit time consuming at first to learn how to move things forward, and manage things to completion. Once an episode gets successfully completed though, then there is a general sense for how the next episode can be done more efficiently and effectively.

Do you have a 6th way to attract valuable collaborators to a web series project? The comments are yours below!

Shotgun Mythos Update: Cause to Celebrate!!

After weeks of trials and tribulations, a great week and cause to celebrate! And we wanted to share with our friends on Web Series Today!

As I have posted on here previously, we have had an ongoing comedy of errors, with cast dropping out at the last minute, doing rewrites on the set, schedules being thrown into the blender due to weather, flu season and family dramas. We have had to improvise props, sets and think on our feet. But it is all part of the game when working on a no-budget production.

This week, however, things have started to swing back in our favor...(I guess those Fates realized we were not going to be intimidated by adversity and decided it was time to throw us a bone, or a steak!)

Cause to Celebrate #1: 3 hours of completed video. We realized this week that we have released over 3 hours of creative content so far. There is a lot more to come, but we were thrilled to realize that we have provided that much content thus far!

Cause to Celebrate #2: A productive weekend of shooting. Saturday was a beautiful thing. And experienced stage actors are amazing. We filmed from 11am-7pm yesterday, completing 20 pages of the script! That is an extraordinary amount of work, and our cast delivered outstanding performances. Today was another great day, with 4 scenes with a newly recast character who brought some humor to the role, and a couple of fight sequences. Overall, 14 scenes shot in 2 days. Which almost catches us up from the disasters of the past few weeks. So a special thanks to Marcus Lawrence, Steven Matos, Monique Gaw, Julian Gordon, Lindsay Day, Brandon Wheeler, Zoe Gaige, Gary Cramer and Chris Shoemaker. You guys all came ready to work, and are heroes in my book!

Cause to Celebrate #3: New Fans! In addition to being the lead in the series, Marcus Lawrence also has a band, which had a performance last night. While at the concert, he met some fans of the show. They came up to talk to him about the series, asking questions about what was coming up and discussing some of the details of the series. We release new episodes weekly, and on the 4th week release an "As it was written" episode, which plays like a TV show. These fans make a party of it on that 4th week, getting together to watch the new full episode on their TV! And that's pretty cool.

Cause to Celebrate #4: Leaving no-budget status behind. After a year of work, we have gotten an investor who likes the story, loves our cast, and appreciates our dedication and sheer bloody-minded stubbornness. He has committed to providing us with a budget which will upgrade our equipment and improve our production quality, as well as a marketing budget to help us promote the show. So while we are wrapping up production on Season 1, we are looking forward to the increased production value that we now know will come with Season 2.

Moral of the story: Never Give Up, Never Surrender!
