Steve Jobs' final trip.
Some of you may have seen Eric Schmidt's presentation at this years Mobile World Congress. Many people noted how his presentation seemed much more "Worldly" than those he gave while CEO at Google. What changed?
Well, this week we may have found some clues in the cult "Magical Mystery Tour" blog. As reported in the blog, it turns out that shortly after stepping down at Apple, Steve Jobs invited Eric Schmidt over for a "deep" conversation. The two had been at odds since Google entered the cell phone market with its open source Android software. Steve wanted to set things right and expose Eric to part of his vision for the World.
It is well known that during his younger years Steve had experimented with LSD and some attribute his "higher consciousness" to these experiences. According to the report, as they sat in Steve's back yard the two men experienced one final trip together.
During the experience Steve explained some of his future plans. It turns out that deep beneath Apple’s new “spaceship” HQ in Cupertino, the company plans to build a top secret cyclotron. The particle accelerator will be used to speed up two sub atomic particles called "Zoeytons" to the speed of light as they circulate around the perimeter of the complex in opposite directions. At this point the trajectory of the particles will cause them to collide. According to theory, Steve explained to Eric, the collision will lead to the formation of the so called "God particle" which in turn will initiate a chain reaction opening up a giant portal in the center of the HQ complex. Jobs hopes that the portal will lead to the so called "reality distortion field" which many think was responsible for his greatest innovations while at the helm of Apple.
After a pleasant afternoon, the two men parted company but Eric Schmidt would never be the same again. He had seen the future and he is a greater man for it.
