Hey guys.
Sorry I haven't updated in awhile

What a small world!
You'll never guess who I bumped into today.
So I guess I'll have to give you a clue:
After we had a little chat, he was a bit of a Weezer...

He says hello to his sister.

Oh dear, Bree. Now I'm carrying the wheel.

Current mood: aggravated
Current music: Ananda crying. Again.

Great.
Apparently this jerkoff got a hold of someone Bree cares about. Which, of course, means she runs ahead and plays the martyr. great. She's almost as bad as Ananda. Matter of fact, she IS as bad as Ananda. What's this really going to accomplish? This man is bent on his idiotic destructive plan, and nothing is going to dissuade him. Instead of searching or considering other ways to foil the Order, effective ones, he just goes on a killing spree.

So Bree's going to be stupid. Sorry, Bree, but that's what I think you're being. Stupid.

PRIVATE: (lj cut won't work) I can't leave Ananda. Who knows what kind of documentation this guy has gotten his hands on. And I know that she would run away from me the first chance she gets. Especially after what went on with her "father". So if I want to protect her, I have to stay here. I changed the lock on her door to the outside, so those episodes will hopefully stop happening.

Hey. *sobs* Oh, God. I'm not any better at this than I was the first time.

I'm not going to get lunch. By the time you hear this, you'll know. I'm going to meet Harry. He has Jonas, and this is the only way to save him.

I'm sorry. I wanted to tell you, but if you came with me, we both know what would happen.

I am so incredibly happy that I met you. You're...you're still my hero, and I love you, and thank you for everything. Please, take care of Jonas, and keep fighting the Order. And if you ever meet our mother, tell her I forgive her. And when you see Daniel again, give him a big hug for me.

Who knows- maybe I'll get lucky, and we'll see each other again.

Good-bye.

Eye on James Olds

James Olds is the actor who plays the role of Bray Johnson in the LG15: The Last webseries.
All his life, James' primary passion was performing. Since starting on the TV screen at only 3 years old in the title role of 'Looking out For Sampson', James has pursued his dreams - sustaining his performance career with notable success.

In the first year of high school at Newington College, James joined the Chamber choir after being recognized for having a great singing voice - this developed into James having many years of private singing lessons eventually leading him to win a Scholarship for study at Australia's most prestigious music school, The Conservatioum of Music, Sydney.

James was also in numerous theatrical productions during his time at Newington, most notably portraying Little Red Riding Hood in the senior production of Grimm Tales. The Hymn of One Youth Centre, destroyed a few weeks before by a man willing to do anything to destroy the Order. It was deserted, wood panels covering the shattered windows, doors padlocked shut, and signs warning not to enter. It was dangerous, after all.

And yet an empty car was in the car park, and the nearest entrance to that car wide open, a broken padlock laying at the foot of the door. Someone was in there... waiting for the most lonely Trait Positive girl to arrive.

Yet Another Harper's Globe Article

Continuing the press blitz for Harper's Globe, SciFi Wire (the one stop shop for all your scifi news) has a short interview with Miles Beckett, chief Pollywhomp of EQAL.

Beckett promises that Harper's Globe will differ from tie-in webisodes for other shows. "This is something unlike anything that's been done before, in a few ways," he said. He added: "This is integrated into the narrative that you're watching on TV, so as you're watching the TV show, you can go to the Web site every single day and get a deeper experience. And then the final piece is ... the way we produce our shows, we call them social shows, it really is a hybrid between a video series and a social network."

It will be interesting to see just how closely Harper's Globe is integrated into Harper's Island. Heroes has done a good job of integrating its web content with the main show to a degree; hopefully, Harper's Globe will take the level of integration to a whole 'nother level.

Full article available here.

LGPedia Under Attack!

Some time back we had an article describing systematic censorship of the fan created LGPedia by Eqal, Inc. At that time, Eqal, Inc. claimed that such censorship was required to protect the privacy of Eqal, Inc. employees and other real world individuals. To that end Eqal, Inc. took it upon themselves to lock these pages and instructed that these pages could only be edited with information approved by Eqal, Inc. At that time many people agreed that privacy was an important consideration despite the fact that the LGPedia admins have always been sensitive to this issue and ensured, on a totally voluntary basis, that LGPedia pages were in line with the individuals desires and requests. Over time many have come to see this censorship as a shallow attempt to control the "real world" content on LGPedia because in some cases employees go on to have their own successful projects and Eqal, Inc. appears to be afraid of the competition.

The latest barrage of insults came today when at the instructions of Amanda Goodfried (Director of Marketing, Eqal, Inc.) a significant number of pages were simply deleted from LGPedia without consultation with the community. These pages were for the most part merely mirrors of public information available on Eqal's own web site, and their investors. Eqal, Inc. seems to think it is their "Eqalpedia" and they can do what they want. Perhaps in a legal sense that is true, but in terms of how LGPedia has always been operated by fans this is simply not acceptable corporate behavior.

Is CBS's 'Harper's Island' a New Broadcast Model?

The twist: It's likely the show will be killed too. CBS has ordered only 13 episodes and asked writers for a finite story arc.

Eye on Samantha Carr

Samantha Carr is the actress who plays the role of Antonia in LG15: The Last web series. Born in Sydney Australia, Samantha made her debut performance at the age of four.

Samantha has been studying acting since the age of 11 and has appeared in various plays and musicals including; the Pirates of Penzance, The Darling Buds of May, Our Town, If the Shoe Fits, The Tales of Sherwood and Roald Dahl’s Cinderella. She has also attended acting courses at The Marion Street Theatre Company to enhance her acting abilities.

After graduating from high school, Samantha went straight to university to study a Bachelor of Arts and a Diploma of Education and is currently in her fourth year of study.

As a hobby Samantha has always expressed herself through her writing and has previously co-written for a web site and is in the process of working on her first novel. Samantha came across Lonelygirl15 and was drawn into the series primarily because of the unique interactive aspect that the show provided. She saw the competition of LG15: TSIY and immediately took action using her writing skills and developed a brief outline of characters and the plot.

Samantha met Emily Robinson and Catherine Williams when she first commenced high school at Sydney’s Pymble Ladies’ College. The three of them formed a strong friendship and they all shared the common passion for acting. Later she moved schools to attend Barker College and met Andrew Strouthos. Together she felt they could create an entertaining series which prompted them to enter LG15: TSIY, and through the collaboration of their various talents created the series, ‘The Last’.

WHAT TIME IS IT?...Coverage of Glenn on BreeFM

Glenn, live on BreeFM @11pm EST, Wednesday.

Glenn was curious about the Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li movie. It was so bad.

Glenn is a fan of Curb Your Enthusiasm on HBO. Glenn sat down with his family to watch it. Imagine years before Larry David wrote a movie with the same style of humor; that was Sour Grapes. The movie might be worth watching now that taste in humor has evolved.

Glenn talked about the Collector's Edition of Madden 2005. Glenn was a talking head on G4 and a segment from that was included as a bonus.

Glenn was in Annie and Twelve Angry Men in high school. It was at this point Glenn decided he could not act and should work behind the camera.

In a few months Glenn might have an opportunity to direct a music video. Fingers crossed. Glenn did one for Headboard back in the day. The Tachyon videos are pretty much music videos.

Glenn is excited to see the debut of LG15: The Last. It looks promising and it will be interesting to see what happens with it. With "The Misfits" a lot of people felt they knew where it was coming from. With "The Last" it is coming from a different continent so it should be interesting to see a new look and style.

Glenn has not checked out Harper's Island yet. He was not able to make it to the panel at Wondercon.

Last weeks Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles was strange. The series creator put out an official statement apologizing for the slow pace. The last three episodes have been a little bit of a let down. Terminator got a big bump in time shifted viewing because of the Friday night time slot.

Last weeks Dollhouse was a little more Jump Street but it was lacking the awareness factor. Quantum Leap also hat that factor. We see Echo as a different character each week. Glenn does not feel we are being brought along on the journey. We see slices of life. All the personalities feel quite similar. It is supposed to kick up around episode 6. The twist with the mob guy last week was good but as a hole it was not quite clicking yet.

One of the other operatives and Echo had this little glance where it looked like they were communicating. It suggested Echo was becoming aware.

Streamy Academy
There is a descent cross section of people on the "Academy". Will it look like there is some sort of conflict with the nominations if it is all drawing from the same well? Will it really gain a foothold? We will just have to see how it plays out.

Here is the archive of of stories from LG15 TODAY concerning Glenn's radio show on BreeFM.

Eye on Jessica Shipley

Jessica Shipley is the actress to portrays Leigh in the LG15: The Last webseries. She was born in Sydney, Australia on March 20th, 1990. She has an Australian mother and father.

Jessica first experienced life on the stage at just 18 months as she played a role with her mother in a local musical. From there Jessica went on to playing various roles throughout her childhood and adolescence in musicals and on stage performances. When Jessica reached high school she enrolled in drama class and followed that through until her 5th year high school. During this time Jessica also attended several acting classes and signed up with various casting agencies to try out modelling but later realised that her true passion was acting.
After graduating from high school Jessica worked in various roles in an attempt to discover which roles she like best. Just four days after graduating Jessica began working for a cruise company called ‘Royal Caribbean and Celebrity Cruises’ and after working there she worked in various temping roles for a variety of agencies and then settled at a French skincare company called ‘Thalgo’ where she worked for several months.

Jessica has many passions and ambitions. She is most passionate about animals and one of her future ambitions is working with people to fight against animal cruelty. Jessica’s second biggest passion is travelling. Although she has not yet left Australia, she is very excited about travelling overseas and the countries she is most interested in visiting are America and England. Jessica also loves Australia and enjoys taking trips to visit new places throughout her country.

Jessica met the directors of LG15: The last through Emily Robinson as Emily and Jessica’s older sister grew up together, and Jessica attended her junior schooling with Emily. Emily knew the character of Leigh was well suited to Jessica and knowing Jessica had an interest and experience in acting, Emily approached her with the character and the rest was history!

Eye on Catherine Williams

Why almost everyone on CBS' Harper's Island is doomed

Christopher Gorham (left) and Elaine Cassidy star in Harper's Island

"Producers of CBS' upcoming 13-episode horror/mystery series Harper's Island told SCI FI Wire that the show is an unusual experiment for American TV: a scripted drama in the shape of a Survivor-like reality series in which a person dies in every episode, as well as a limited-run series that tells a single complete story."

"But your readers come from across the web, from Yahoo, AOL, WordPress, Typepad... not just Blogger. That's why we're excited to announce that we've integrated Blogger Following with Google Friend Connect."

http://buzz.blogger.com/

"One note for readers who previously followed one or more sites with Blogger Following and joined one or more sites with Friend Connect: you can decide whether or not to show the sites you've joined via Blogger Following and Google Friend Connect in your Blogger profile. By default, we have turned the "Show blogs I follow in my Blogger profile" option off".

New features to appear on Harper's Globe and then LG15.com

"Yup, we need to roll out new features on LG15. You’ll first see the features on harpersglobe.com and then we’ll need to do some work on the backend to get the features up on LG15. That may take a little time but we certainly haven’t forgotten about the LG15 community."

Some bloke named Stephen Grossman commented on the Harper's Globe Youtube channel that he "acted on the show." I wonder if he's our next confirmed actor besides Melanie? And I wonder how much is filmed in advance?

CSI Creator’s New Novel to Have a lonelygirl Twist

How simultaneously old school and cutting edge can you get? CSI creator Anthony E. Zuiker’s next project is a crime novel called Dark Chronicles. But it’s not just a novel; it’s going to be a “digi-novel” (not an awkward name, no not at all) due to a partnership with EQAL, the lonelygirl15 web production company.

Purchasers of the book will get codes at the end of every five chapters that give them access to videos, audio files, and photos written, produced and directed by Zuiker. Other online content will include a blog, behind-the-scenes content, and a dedicated social network for fans. The book itself is being jointly written by Zuiker and an unnamed novelist.
