Ghirardelli Square Event Predictions

With under four hours to go until the event at Ghirardelli Square, San Francisco, what are your Predictions?

Here are a few to get you started:

• Free chocolate-covered-ribozomes to all who attend.


• Jonas finds an excuse to go shirtless, perhaps to save Jennie when she slips and falls into the fountain while posing for pictures with the turtle.


• Daniel breaks into Alcatraz.


• Carl arrives with a big tray of free Hymn-Of-One brand coffee.


• NikkiBower bashes Greg-the-Watcher over the head with a Fire Extinguisher, as an homage to the LG15 Season 1 Finale.


• Sarah balks at whatever the group decides to do, so Daniel has to drag her along.

milowent predicts:

• Jonas' plan doesn't work


• Lucy throws a toy trolley car at Daniel's head.


• Glenn Rubenstein shows up and yells "Red Army FTW!"


• Jonas tries to jump Glenn, who exclaims "I don't roll like that!"


• TAAG escapes on a trolley car. They travel about 3 miles per hour, but the Order throw down their hats in disgust and refuse to climb hills. TAAG have a nice dinner in Chinatown.


• See's Candies, Ghiradelli's superior San Francisco competitor, send out people to disrupt the event and distribute candy.


• No guns appear because this is a public place and someone would freak not knowing its fictional.


• Someone starts squawking "filipino monkey" over the public address system, almost causing nuclear war between TAAG and the Order.


• Iris actually does appear this time.

"Intercast was a short-lived technology developed in 1996 by Intel for broadcasting information such as web pages and computer software, along with a single television channel. It required a compatible TV tuner card installed in a personal computer and a decoding program called Intel Intercast Viewer. The data for Intercast was embedded in the Vertical Blanking Interval (VBI) of the video stream carrying the Intercast-enabled program.
With Intercast, a computer user could watch the TV broadcast in one window of the Intercast Viewer, while being able to view HTML web pages in another window. Users were also able to download software transmitted via Intercast as well. Most often the web pages received were relevant to the television program being broadcast, such as extra information relating to a television program, or extra news headlines and weather forecasts during a newscast. Intercast can be seen as a more modern version of teletext."

"Domingo Ghirardelli

Born in Rapallo, Italy in 1817, Domenico "Domingo" Ghirardelli learned about the confectionery and chocolate trade by the time he was 20. Uruguay and Peru were the first places he set up shop -- but tales of the Gold Rush were irresistible. In 1848, Domingo's neighbor, James Lick, packed up $25,000, 600 pounds of Ghirardelli chocolate and sailed for the San Francisco Bay. A year later, Domingo followed him through the Golden Gate.

Domingo successfully opened stores in Stockton during the Gold Rush, but unfortunately did not fare so well with his future business endeavors. The Europa Hotel, -- one of the first hotels in Old San Francisco, burned in The Great Fire of 1851, along with everything Domingo owned in San Francisco. Four days later, another fire burned his Stockton properties to the ground."
