A looming strike threatens to hobble the entertainment industry

"A potential entertainment-industry strike is still months away"

"All three groups want heftier shares of profits from DVD sales and new-media downloads"

  1. I guess Jessica and Yousef will be asking for a bigger share of the revver money.

    What's 15% of 15 cents?

  2. The contractual side of all of this is very interesting. Nothing has been said about LG15 having any union contracts, and I doubt they do because they're not required to in the least (as of now.)

It would be interesting to see them organize under the umbrella of AFTRA (SAG would be a huge stretch), but it's not going to happen anytime soon. The strike, then, wouldn't affect LG15 - it might help it, actually.

On a similar note, the original reports said that they started paying Jessica a few weeks after the LG15 videos started appearing. If they did sign a contract with her, and if it was for a year, it's entirely possible that the year could be up very, very soon.

Curious, especially given speculation about the current plotline.

Seriously, I would love to know what kind of contracts they have, but we probably never will.

-Anonymous, who is probably the only person who cares about this crap.
