Google Next Victim Of Creative Destruction? (GOOG)

  1. AOL was a classic example of a company that did not understand its core business. The original AOL member directory was a gold mine and if they had listened to feedback from their users they would have become a powerful social network. Instead it tried to become a google/yahoo hybrid in a world where it had no competitive advantage.

    As for twitter....hummm..I just followed the Grammys on twitter so it is certainly changing the way we operate online. How disruptive will it be? Time will tell, but I see it more along the lines of drudge report in importance.

  2. The only thing that needs to be said for this article: Read the disclaimer. I love Twitter, but it's not as great as this guy, who is...WHAT? An CEO of a company who holds shares of Twitter?!? makes it appear to be. It's not the new Google.
