The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) is seeking ways to "reinvent" journalism

For instance, one proposal would, "Allow news organizations to agree jointly on a mechanism to require news aggregators and others to pay for the use of online content, perhaps through the use of copyright licenses."

  1. Quite a disturbing proposal as far as the www is concerned.

  2. Well someone better come up with something soon. Newspapers are having a hard time staying operational. Reporters may be annoying at times, but they do serve a purpose.

  3. To curtain the freedom of bloggers to support an industry that has failed to adapt to change just does not seem to be the right way to go about it.
