Episode 4- Hollywood Girl -Say A Little Prayer

  1. Courtney Zito does it again, it's funny and warm, though this episode may not be everyone's cup of tea, due to one's religious feelings, however, Courtney has done a good job of shooting this.

  2. I have made my position on length, content and format many many times so I will not repeat them again.

This show has potential but a show that is not "crafted" to play on the web is going to have a hard time building an audience. It is too bad that producers do not listen to viewers because this one has some nice qualities.......

Now on a portal site that acquires views by some unknown mystical process that has yet to be revealed (other that those that simply buy views) may be able to generate views for a show with this format, but it is going to be hard for them to do it on their own.

  3. @modelmotion we always listen to our viewers, we have a loyal growing fan base and they have asked for longer episodes. I am open to hear any of your thoughts you can feel free to email me at [email protected] as I always like to hear feedback... I will say that this show is modeled after a half hour comedy (22 mins without commercials) and with Hulu and netflix there is a place for long form shows like this, which is why the format follows TV and not web. We are trying something new as far as web series go and I have found the response to be positive thus far. But ya know, you can't please everyone all the time. I get that.

  4. Do you have 500,000 views? Do you want 500,000 views?

Yes a small fan base does often want content that mimics tv in terms of length......but be careful about how your define your audience.

There is a small group of people who likes long form content and they tend to be highly vocal. The question you should ask yourself is will this help you grow an audience that can sustain the show. if all you need is a few hundred viewers then you might attain that with long form content. But if you want more just look at the competition in that space. Are you better than any of the long form content produced by network TV? You have to earn your viewers time.

To put it another way: to grow your audience you will need about 20 hrs of promotional work for every minute of video. Do you have the kind of resources to support that? If not you may want to think about what strategy best allows you to grow your audience. In the end its your choice....... do it your way.......but if you don't grow an audience realize that this is probably one of the reasons why.

  5. I hear what you're saying loud and clear. All I can say at this point is there are some things happening behind the scenes, and soon hopefully our actions will make sense. My goals are a little different then what you describe. But again, I appreciate the support and the feedback. I don't pretend to know it all by any means lol... Have a great day!
