Why I’m NOT Watching Your Web Series

  1. What you failed to say is that Web series are by nature social. That means you need to keep the barriers between you and your potential audience/participants as low as possible. (Note, I am reluctant to even use the word "audience" because that inherently implies that there needs to be any barrier at all). The key to social is to be social, and that applies to "creators" just as it does any other fan. Creators after all are just like any other fan, and if they do not engage with other content on YouTube etc in the same way as everyone else they will most likely find them self isolated. There was a day when everyone was a creator and every creator was a fan. Those that remember that World know how social is built into the fabric of a Web series and this is just as relevant today as it was back then.
