DC WebFest, Shotgun Mythos and a documentary

It has been a busy couple of weeks! We are very excited to announce that we have been chosen as an official selection at DC WebFest. For the DC Web Fest, a number of web series are curated across many genres – comedy, drama, horror, soap opera, etc. – to highlight the best of the web. This year they are expanding beyond web series to include various forms of digital media, such as social media, gaming, robotics, and app development. The mission of this festival is to Entertain, Educate and Promote these new and innovation art forms. The 2014 DC Web Fest will feature a symposium to discuss future trends in the industry. Tickets to the Red Carpet event, the Summit and the Awarded Screenings will be held September 19 and 20. You can find out more information about the guest speakers and get your tickets at http://dcwebfest.co/schedule-speakers/

And of course, the work on Shotgun Mythos continues. We released webisode 10 of Season 2 last week, and finished the screener cut for DC WebFest today. Preproduction is in the works for Season 3.

And in the midst of all of that, we completed a documentary. It is about as opposite as you can get from Shotgun Mythos, but was something we felt we needed to do. We had footage of a number of interviews with Holocaust survivors from another project, and felt that their story needed to be made available to a wider audience. So we got historical footage from the National Archives, and when combined with the interviews, Voices of the Holocaust tells a story of loss and heartbreak, but also of courage and hope. The DVD is now available on Amazon.com, and we are working on other distribution methods for it, as well as setting up an indiegogo campaign to get the documentary into the schools. https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/voices-of-the-holocaust

  1. Is there a calendar anywhere with the dates of ALL the Web fest on it. That would be a pretty useful tool for someone to put together so that the community can better stay in touch with what is coming up and when.
