As martiangurl was first to point out on the comments section of Lonelygirl15.com, the nametag Daniel is wearing appears to belong to "Miles Z. Beckett," one of the Creators... a little inside joke / easter-egg for fans to spot. Miles quit plastic surgery to pursue a career in film/entertainment after completing his medical degree.
