Quarterlife on NBC beginning Feb 18th 9/8c

The webisodes of Quarterlife, staring Bitsie Tulloch (who played Aunt Alex in Lonelygirl15) as Dylan Krieger, have been produced in groups that will form traditional 42 minute (1 hour TV show) episodes. The show will air on NBC beginning February 18th at 9/8c, and has a webpage on the NBC website here: http://www.nbc.com/Quarterlife/. The NBC site includes a link to "Community" which points to their own forums and not to the Quarterlife.com website.

It's not clear yet whether new webisodes will continue to appear first on Thursdays and Sundays on MySpace and on the www.quarterlife.com site.

  1. Are they going to start from the beginning or with new episodes?

  2. I think they are going to start from the beginning, but it won't take long to catch up.

  3. It will probably show better on TV but I doubt it will get the ratings it needs to survive.

On the net I would like to see them experiment with shorter eps mon-fri. They could still do the long eps for those who prefer it.

  4. As much as I LOVE the show... I think the reason it appeals to me is because I kinda have a short attention span.
Listening to Debra's "insight" and Debra's bitching about how her life sucks and Eric's stereotypical hippie rants about "the man"... I just don't think I can handle it for an hour straight...
I love the characters... but only for 6 consecutive minutes... any longer I'm sure they'd get on my nerves...
    sorry.

  6. Hopeful, I agree. A whole hour...That's going to be tough.

  7. I just got into the series, and I look forward to how it will do on television (of course, I feel it does perfect on the web.)

Nevertheless, if people like what they see, we can get some untapped audience from the sofa and they can finally discover how many wonderful shows there are behind a computer screen!

  8. I think it will flop on TV. On the web its a nice distraction but on NBC you need to pull pretty good ratings to survive and I cant imagine this show doing that there.

I mean think about it. ABC cancelled "My So Called Life" during its first season and that was probably 1000 times better than Quarterlife.

But yea, on TV it might make the longer episodes easier to watch.

But for now I can live with it on the web.
