Ban TJ Marsh from the Breeniverse

As most of you know community member TJ Marsh (AKA Iris2009, Tenduza, Etc.) Recently posted on the LG15 Comment Board, the LG15 Forum, and many other places, as his grieving family claiming to tell the community about his death. (See Screencap below)

This thread was locked on the LG15 Forum, due to speculation about the vailidity of this claim I would imagine.

View The Locked Forum Thread

Today TJ left a comment on Jackson Davis's myspace, claiming he was still alive. (See screencap below)

View Jackson's Myspace

TJ Marsh claimed to be dead within days of the actual suicide of community member Scarlette, making this one of the most heartless and twisted attempts for attention I have ever seen.

View the RIP Scarlette post

I am asking for a community wide ban on TJ Marsh. From the Lonelygirl15 site (Including comment boards and forums), The Chat Channels (#lg15chat, #breefm, etc.), LG15Today, Anchor Cove, Bree.FM, TheCoalition.tv, simply everywhere. We have suffered from the drama, and in this case heartache, of TJ Marsh far too long. If TJ is capable of lying about his own death, what else could he do? Is someone who lies about life and death in an attempt to manipulate emotions someone we should trust around the younger members of our community? This, my friends, is the last straw.

I set up a petition to have TJ banned from all aspects of the Breeniverse. Please show your support by signing it and leaving a comment below.

  1. This news is sick and appalling. There is nothing that can ever justify this. Ironically though, with this he is probably getting exactly what he wants, which is more attention. I don't know if this will get TJ banned from anything, but I for one am typing /ignore TJMarsh in my mIRC window.

  2. I think either TJ, or his family need to come forward and explain what is going on here. We live in a world where fact and fiction collide every day with stories of kidnapping and murder intersecting.
With that in mind we need to approach the subject of suicide with an air of sensitivity while still protecting our freedom to enjoy fiction. If someone crosses the line they should step forward and be accountable for their actions.

  7. Yes, I agree with apotheosisaz: we are all glad that TJ is not actually dead. However, this cry for attention is really not acceptable, especially in light of recent events.

It's not like we're destroying his right to lurk/view the webpages and whatnot; we just want to ensure that nothing like this ever happens again.

I agree that people deserve many chances, but he has been given countless numbers of them.

TJ has lied about being Amanda, Miles, Mesh, and Greg in the IRC chat. He has lied about attending Lg15 Live events, and even attempted to gamejack MessyNessy and Glenn Rubenstein (Good luck there lol.)

And these are just the things that I have seen personally.

I am sorry, as much as I believe in freedom of speech and forgiveness I think this is non excusable.

Someone who can lie to us and manipulate us on this deep a level is dangerous. I will not let myself regret, if and when he does something worse to this community later down the road, that I had a chance to stop it and did not act.

    1. Not true, i have never potrayed once of being any of the great people that stand watching my back. I never claimed i was a the LG15 live event, my character did, and there was suppose to be a video of it, but that didn't happen after so much backlash.

Gamejacking, yes.. I would admit to that. But not really game jacking, my character was just trying to reach out to these other characters.

Thank you greg for being a Loyal LG15 Fan tho!

  12. Find his comments outrageous, let him know that you found his actions tactless and offensive, but to ban him and to try and silence his voice is the wrong action.

The voices that say things we find offensive, the ones that say things we don't think should be said, are the ones we should protect more than those we agree with.

  14. I think this is up for the Mods to decide. To make such a public banning is NOT fair. For example, if this is a cry for help, then it should be handled privately, not as a mass attack.

I haven't seen him do all that you describe Greg, but if it's been as bad as you say, I'd think the creators would have already done the banning or will do something about it. I understand how offensive what he did was, but there are so many ARGs going on that push the envelope and can cause deep wounds to reopen for many. I don't know how we can choose one person to ban and not then have to look at any of the others. It's a slippery slope...

It was decided that he have a TJMarsh acct and an Iris2009 acct. Personal attacks IC against Iris were allowed, against TJ were not. This death announcement was for TJ, not Iris. I'm having trouble understanding how this could be anything but a hoax. I think TJ's only course of action is an admission and some kind of verification that he is getting some help.

Anonymous #2, I have to agree and disagree with you here. It is totally up to the mods to decide, they have the final say in things. However we as a community affect their decisions, and it is only fair that we have a chance to publicly state our opinions in this matter.

Honestly, I am surprised he has not been banned before now. Perhaps it needs to be the result of a public outcry for such a thing?

Your right about ARG's pushing the lines between reality and fiction. I myself have done this numerous times, including the death of one of my characters. The difference is that creators of ARG's acknowledge their work is fiction, regardless of how much Alternate Reality they are aiming for. No one was hurt in the making of these productions, and no one was lead to believe that anyone was.

I appreciate your perspective, but I have to humbly disagree.

  20. I'm with greg on this. It is completely inconceivable to me that a person would go to such lengths to attract attention. TJ's behavior was tolerated for a very long time, despite the stealing identities, despite telling blatant falsehoods about what he was doing, what he knew, who he knew... despite the stirring up problems then posing as "anonymous" to play devil's advocate, drawing more attention to himself (not that I'm suggesting that "anonymous" here is TJ... however, if you stood behind a name I probably wouldn't risk making that mistake)... faking his death is not only a smear on the community but it's potentially criminal. Does he actually have to harm himself or someone else before he has committed an egregious enough act to be banned from the community? He has performed sufficiently, and to tolerate this behavior at this point is the same as encouraging it.

In the midst of a community in mourning, in the midst of a community of people that struggle with their own pain, and have been touched by the deaths, and suicides of loved ones he pulls a trick like this? And we are supposed to turn a blind eye? I fully support a ban. I would urge everyone else to do so as well. Not only as a punishment for this act, but as a sign to others who might think that this is an appropriate means for attention.

And I have to agree with anon above, there is a flavor of bullying in some of the responses. (not all of them) Does anyone have private contact with him? Has anyone privately contacted him and how has he responded? Has each who signed the petition already contacted him personally? How did he respond?

  25. Over the course of the last year and a half I have had occasional contact with TJ, and I think I can say with some level of certainty that he has lied on some level in every once of those instances. "That's just TJ, laugh and don't trust him any further than you can throw him, it's harmless." Fine. It was harmless, until he faked his own death. That is intolerable. Suggesting that we award that behavior by allowing him to remain a welcome member of the community is ludicrous.

That said, don't be surprised when the Creators & co make no statements and take no action on the issue, regardless of what the community feels about it. This isn't new territory. The sand is deep on the left coast, and there are a lot of heads buried in it.

  26. If the article posted up by Greg Gallows is true, and so are the comments, then I support a ban. However, hearing his side of the story is important, even if it does do nothing.

From what I've heard, there have already been previous attempts at banning/suspending him, however none have been carried out. This would be a bolstering argument for banning him.

Also, I've noticed that people say he has faked his own death and that this is bad. However, what certain people may fail to realize is the severity of the faking. He did this not much after Scarlette, a beloved member of our community, had taken her own life. The community has still not recovered from this incident, nor will their wounds ever fully heal. In my religion, suicide is the ultimate act of selfishness, however, I would have to disagree after this event has happened.

Faking his own death is completely unacceptable. It shows that TJmarsh does not know what losing someone is like. Quite frankly, if TJmarsh truly did this for attention, there is someone psychologically wrong with him, and he should be put in a mental facility, or at the very least, brought to therapy.

However, I am not sure that banning him is the correct solution. What may occur from this shall be that he shall come back, as "anonymous" or himself, using a different screen name.

Perhaps an IP ban would be more effective. Although this would remove his ability to see any of the videos, I do not think this would be a problem since, as some have mentioned, TJ is no longer interested in LG15 and KM.

However, before taking any important decisions, I think it is vital to hear what TJ has to say, otherwise the actions taken could be considered a removal of free speech. Although his explanations may not be sufficient, we should still listen to them, just in case.

I also agree with the fact that the community is very important in this issue, because, even though the moderators have the final say, TJmarsh's staying or leaving could have a large impact on this community.

    -----

P.S. I do not know either TJmarsh nor did I have the pleasure of meeting Scarlette.

This post is just as ridiculous as TJ's.

If you personally don't like someone, stay away from them. Personally being the operative word here.

To post something like this on a community site is absolute bullying, and actually pretty infantile.

None of the posters calling for this crap are perfect, and none of them know TJ offline. None of them know anything about his personal situation at all.

  30. "Yes Greg has a valid point but from the point that everyone jumped on the bandwagon it started looking more like bullying than valid punishment." ~Anonymous

This goes into an important ethical issue that I've been thinking about for a while now: do we put people into jail to punish them or to keep them from repeating their crimes?

If we are looking to punish TJ, then a temporary ban would be best--it would not be permanent, he would (possibly) learn his lesson, and we can move on with our lives.

If we are looking to ensure that his "crimes" are never repeated, then a permanent ban would be best--it would keep him from returning.

I'm trying to be impartial here, just stating some ideas.

    ---

As for the issue that he could come back under a new screenname: that's not the point. Of course he could come back under a new screenname, but by that point we've made an example out of the situation, and surely he wouldn't repeat his actions under the new persona.

That said, I'd like to hear his side of the story, if for nothing else but closure.

    ---

BTW, 'anonymous' directly above me, I'm upset about how you put the word "community" in quotes as though this isn't actually a community. There are people who have formed lifelong friendships through these websites and video series; for you to mock those relationships is, in your words, "pretty infantile."

If any of you anonymous people wanted your words to carry any weight, you'd identify yourselves. Quite frankly, without a name attached, words and opinions mean nothing because even their owner is unwilling to take responsibility for them.

  32. What's wrong with posting as anonymous? How many people here use their real names anyway? I may just as well post as anonymous than post as Steve or whatever. It amounts to the same thing, right?

Anyway, if TJ broke rules he should be given a temporary ban. If not, then he shouldn't. From what I understand, he doesn't have a whole lot of fans here anyway. In real life he can't be 'banned' for this. he'd just be ignored.
    So...ignore...

    ReplyDelete
  33. As I was quoting the original poster, I used quotations.

What you decided to read into is a fantasy of presumption.

As for your post, I find your use of the word "crimes" pretty interesting (there I go with the quotations again).

I'd like to know who allocated anyone judge and jury.

Like I posted earlier, if you personally have a problem with someone online or off, you do what's best for you.

    This witch hunt is preposterous.

Since it took so long for the McCarthyists to find evidence contrary to the claim, it's obvious that no one in the community has the type of friendship with TJ as you describe. That being said, it is impossible for ANYONE in this community to know TJ's offline situation or motivation.

There is a lot of judgment being passed here about someone no one really knows.

This entire post, petition and debate is not even high school.

It reminds me of the grammar school child who gets a group of people to pick on someone else.

    Grow up people.

    ReplyDelete
  34. If you view the community as a microcosm of the real world, you must realize that the world is a complicated place. Not everyone is going to be honest. And some folks are going to say or do things in incredibly bad taste.

A complete and total ban as suggested would be the equivalent of a real world death penalty. If someone faked their death in the real world, would you find that an apppropriate response? Just food for thought.

    ReplyDelete
  35. "What's wrong with posting as anonymous?"

It basically means that you, the poster, don't wish to associate with your own words--or at least that's how it's interpreted. My SN is linked to my entire online presence, and so when I post using this SN, my words are attached to that SN and thus hold weight.

I'm not saying that you're not allowed to post anonymously; I just think that your points would be stronger if you posted under your screenname.

    ---

"As for your post, I find your use of the word "crimes" pretty interesting (there I go with the quotations again)."

I used quotations to imply that they are not actually legal crimes, but rather just a series of disrespectful actions towards the community.

    ---

"Like I posted earlier, if you personally have a problem with someone online or off, you do what's best for you."

I'm not sure that's really fair. I visit this blog daily; when, for example, Scarlette passed away, I felt very sad for her. If I had heard that TJ had passed away, I would similarly be sad. Taking advantage of my emotions isn't fair to me, nor is it fair to anyone else. His motivation is not as important as the fact that he attempted to manipulate the emotions of the community.

I shouldn't have to stop visiting this blog just because there is a person out there who is trying to manipulate my emotions, but it's not fair to me for that to happen.

I don't know if TJ has a psychological condition that caused him to act this way, and I'm really trying not to pass judgment on TJ personally. I just think that we should do what is best for the community, and at this point I think that TJ's temporary (or perhaps even permanent) suspension is the best option.

    ReplyDelete
  36. "Considering no one really believed it in the first place, the "attempt to manipulate emotions" of the "community" didn't work anyway."

For the record that is factually inaccurate. If you go back through the comments you will find that the very people who were suffering from the loss of Scarlette actually did believe the TJ post. In fact at that time no one knew for sure if it was real or not. You will also find out that a number of people were emotionally saddened by the news.

    ReplyDelete
  37. As for posting as "anon", it just helps if there is some "identifier" so that we know that several comments come from the same person. That helps readers follow the logic of what is being said and in a long thread like this that helps.

    ReplyDelete
  38. I'm not a very active member of the community as far as posting, but I like to follow along now and again. In the limited time I spend around here, even I am aware of the recent tragic events regarding community members. I'm sure TJ was also.
For him to do this, especially now, screams "calculated actions with fore-thought." I highly disapprove of his behavior and lack of compassion.
If he's banned or not, Greg has called him out for what he's done. Thanks for bringing this to our attention Greg.

    Right. Who?
38 replies to this crap, a bunch to the original post on LG15, and more to the post linking to this garbage on the LG15 forum, and not one person has come out and showed one iota of the emotional reaction to the passing of Scarlette.

For good reason. No one had any emotional relationship with TJ.

You also have responses to this from people who not only did not know TJ, but also did not even know this even happened. BK contained it quickly over on LG15 2 weeks ago.

This attempt by a few people to create this lynch mob of people who had absolutely no emotional investment here, didn't even know who TJ is, or what had even occurred, is pretty pathetic.

  42. hi guys,
i've been a member of this community for years. i haven't been very active lately as i'm in law school (as many of you may recall).
thus i feel somewhat compelled to say that iris (i understand his real name is tj marsh but i feel i know him as iris so "iris" i shall use) deserves a fair trial and all that crap. yknow, america.
basically what i think is that we need to find out what he was thinking, if he did this alone, etc. for the record, i was really saddened when i read (and believed) the posts. i didn't know scarlette and was obviously sad about her death and sad for all those who were close to her- i have known montelac for a long time and i know he had formed a close bond with her and i feel awful for him. iris on the other hand had been someone i had known, if only through his various vlogs and whatnot. i thought back on those vlogs and his args and the impressions i made from them. he always seemed to be looking for attention but not getting it and that aided my belief that he would take his life, especially after someone else had "paved the way" so to speak. (that sounds terrible; i'm trying to say he saw how much attention she got posthumously.)
i totally understand the anger people are feeling. i feel it too- believe me, i'm pissed that i mourned for him.
i began to get suspicious when nothing happened after that- BK did indeed shut it down. LG15today never mentioned it again. so i thought the legitimacy of his "death" was iffy.
so, he posted something on jackson's page and now we know he's alive. jackson's page? i mean, come on, we all are friends with jackson. who would do that?
and who would have faked a suicide to get the attention a real suicide was getting?
yes, someone who is really not thinking. and perhaps not very capable of empathy. and obviously, wanting attention. was he doing it to be cruel? i don't know. i would like him to tell us.
in conclusion, a ban is IN MY OPINION overreacting. i completely understand the reaction, and would probably sign the thing myself if i knew the facts and they indicated he thought it was a "prank" or something along those lines. i think the ban has come from strong emotions which i totally understand and support, but the answer to this problem has to involve some cool-headedness (not easy, i know.)
what would be appropriate, at this time, would be to try to create a dialogue with him. what the hell did he do, exactly? why the hell did he do it?
i also think that explaining to him what the ramifications of his actions included would be better for him than banning him completely. it would be easy for him to say "f them, they banned me" but not so easy to say "well f you you can't take a joke" if we say "i was really hurt, etc etc."
is anyone here familiar with "restorative justice"?

i would like to be involved with this because i'm familiar with iris and his "antics" and his stunted maturity. i wonder what is going on with him, because he is 21 years old.

i don't want to demonize him just yet. i'm angry and hurt, yes, but we really don't have enough information. i know some will say "we know he pretended he committed suicide and that's all we need to know" but i disagree. that's all we need to know to be upset, but to take appropriate actions in response to his behavior requires more information. um... sorry this is so long and serious and i know i'm usually not that serious.

    meep?

i guess i'll end this with a round of applause for MM and BK. huzzah!

  43. There is so much wrong with all of us giving so much weight to this issue, myself included. I have had people "die" online before. It happens fairly frequently depending on the drama of the circle you travel in, and I was hoping to escape that by coming here. I was wrong. In all honesty to some extent, we are feeding this child's ego to an exponential degree I am sure, because he is just what he wanted the focus of our attention. My issue is when you answer lies with more lies where does that lead you?

He was given every opportunity to be forgiven for this act, or at least explain it, instead we are to believe that he has had his computer stolen, as well as his identity, but has done nothing about it because he is out of state. (Incidentally, your identity is very often stolen by someone not in the same state as you and you can still persue charges to my understanding)

Some people had expressed relief that TJ was not actually dead, and I will despite my anger at the situation agree to that. I don't wish death on anyone, but it would seem in doing this "prank" he has wished it upon himself within the community. By which I do still support the ban, if he wished to die within the community, then he should be treated as such.

It was a cruel and ridiculous act to play on a community in mourning. It should not be looked past. There are many TJ Marsh stories you can look past giving the "its just online" excuse, but this is just... inhuman.

As for the anonymous poster that says none of us have an emotional tie to TJ... Why should we? Why should we try when we don't know if we are ever going to see a side to him other than the pathology he shows us again and again. If it was unwitting, natural pathology, lies that slipped easily off the tongue that escalate it could be forgiven. I have known a number of pathological liars in my life that have told so many stories that they believe them all, no matter how contradictory. Those are people that you can look sadly on with understanding and hope they get the help they need. This was a thought out malicious act. This was the abuse of a community raw already. This should have consequences.

    ReplyDelete
  44. where did he claim that his computer was stolen? did he respond to the community's upset over his actions? could you link that or something please?

    1. yes, this was claimed, and it was proven, resulting in me never receiving a ban.

      Delete
  45. Mary, he claimed it in the LG15chat room last night. I wasn't there for the whole discussion, but I was there long enough to see him claim that.

    ReplyDelete
  46. He said it in chat last night Mary, if you would like to drop me an e-mail ([email protected]) i'll send you a copy of the chat logs.

From what I understand Broken Kid is waiting for TJ to provide a police report of his stolen laptop before making any permanent decisions. Some aspects of the community have imposed a temporary ban until then, some have decided since his actions didn't happen at their site that he should not be banned at said site.

We're a large community, with many different branches. I respect and understand everyones decisions in this matter.

I for one would just like to agree with ApotheosisAZ on his statement, when he said, We are glad your not dead TJ.

It really really hurts to think you lost someone, and that you will never get a chance to speak to them ever again.

If everyone is reacting strongly, it is because it comes from a place inside all of us that has lost someone before, it's a horrible feeling.

As for the Anon comments claiming this was a "Ridiculous witch hunt." I would simply like to state that your opinion is appreciated, as is everyone else's opinions. I must however disagree with you.

This is not a witch hunt, it is making the actions of someone public who made the issue public in the first place.

TJ was the one that posted about his death all over the Breeniverse, I was just letting you all know that he was alive and that it was a hoax.

Granted, there was a lot of emotion behind this post, that is what happens when you play with life and death in someones mind.

    ReplyDelete
  47. I know I'm going to come off as a "uber biotch" saying this, but to be very honest:
I'm really SICK AND TIRED OF THIS LG DRAMA! I mean we've lost so many key member of our community because of this high school drama.
I mean YES this is horrible and stupid and absolutely immature. But a PETITION?
    Com'on!
Listen if you want to guy gone and you think there is a problem with him and his attention grabbing ways (sick as they are...) write a freaking letter, email it and urge others to do the same. Don't go and make a freaking petition. Don't go and PUBLICLY HUMILIATE the poor guy and go on a witch hunt (even though what he did is disgusting because of the timing). OBVIOUSLY there is something up with his emotional part of socializing that he feels that he has to "show off and lie" to be accepted into our community (which really HE'S NEVER HAD TO BECAUSE HE REALLY IS A NICE GUY)(its called a social disorder)
Either way, yea we have to be happy that he's safe and sound. Secondly, if this is his way of dealing with his emotional problems and his way of trying to become accepted, I urge him to actually go out and get counseling about it (because it sounds like a social disorder) AND I urge everyone to be SUPPORTIVE! Because Humiliating the guy by publicly attacking him is just going to make matters worse!
To be very honest with you, I personally never really liked him either, but it's because of these "stunts" that he pulls. I just want to see everyone be true to themselves!

I know what I'm talking about. I used to be JUST LIKE HIM.

  48. KTS,

I understand where you are coming from, but this was made a public issue long before this post.

TJ chose to make the community mourn him buy faking his death on the public comment boards and forum, we posted about that here on many comments. It is only fair that once we realize this death was a hoax that we report about it as well.

A petition is a polite way of saying that there are a lot of people who are not okay with this, and I felt it was the best way to convey that to TJ.

Is this more LG Drama? Yeah, and I hate it. I don't like drama.

But don't kill the messenger, i'm just reporting what a lot of people have been asking for now and have been for a long time.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Drama is totally FTL but this case strikes a nerve, I've finally managed to read all the posts (which took forever).

I see it as this, Almost every single person who uses this site or any Breeuniverse related sites either knows someone who did kill themself or knows someone who genuinly tried, online or offline, right now theres such a high suicide rate worldwide that its not something to use to your advantage.

People are saying he may need councelling or have emotional problems and to be honest I think thats not even part of this, I'm sure a good few people here have emotional problems too in there life but they dont bring them here and disturb other people with them when they KNOW it could hurt people and TJ did.

I think on the banning front, he should at a minimum have any content to do with him removed from LG15today and all newer things he does and also should have his accounts banned from the forums and be blocked from making a new account, some people seem to think that he needs a fair trial before any such banning, which is fair but also unfair, Democracy does not work, I've been through the democratic courts and look how many people who did the crime get let off, his laptop was stolen, to be totally honest im surprised he didnt say his little brother did it, no excuse is an excuse for a hoax like this and the evidence is damming and almost 100% conclusive.

Also TJ's previoius actions should not even matter in this case, this alone is enough for anyone to deserve a banning, If greg or JenniPowell or even ModelMotion done that post I would be saying the same thing right now.

I would not have known about this had greg not posted it, which some people think means I should not be so damming on it, but wether 1000000 people say it or just 1, its the principal and I'd like to think this a community with morals and principal who wont stand for this.

Were all affected by suicide and the emotional turmoil it causes, people making light of it and a sick joke for attention to me is unnaceptable and if in the end he gets a month ban or a slap on the wrist, then I will feel that this communitys admins/mods whoever ultimatly decides has as little tact as TJ did.

And I hope if TJ is given the chance to explain himself and make an excuse he doesnt embaress himself further and have the decency to take it on the chin.

  50. I thought Mary had a pretty good take on things (in her long comment above starting with "hi guys").

I personally take almost everything I read that is posted online with a degree of doubt about its truth or the identity of the source.

Spoofing or telling lies online is generally pretty foolish. It usually comes out in time, and inspires resentment in any community. Lying about being dead, if that's what is going on here, is amazingly poor judgment.

But setting that issue aside, there are some mob-like characteristics to this approach to dealing with the issue that are troubling (the post on this blog, and the use of a petition to ban one person from all areas). I have raised the issue "community standards" on this blog myself directed at actions that I did not like, and that posting was removed after several objections to it were raised. We're all guilty of a certain amount of 'holier than thou' hypocrisy here - casting stones. I'm not condemning anyone - just sounding a note of caution. It's not a simple issue.

One of the several "anonymous" commenters above asked why not post anonymously since online ids are arbitrary anyway... one reason is to avoid the confusion of multiple anonymous posters in a dialog... just pick a random name to use, click on "Name/URL" instead of "Anonymous" and comment with that Name.

  51. Witch hunt? Whatever. The dude did something incredibly heinous. Ban the little twit. He isn't worth all these words.

  52. Hey guys, I know that this issue has been around for a long time.
Hey there was a freaking campaign to get the guy banned when it became crazily OBVIOUS that TJ was stalking the cast and crew of the show. And From what I've been told by people (including TJ himself) they aren't too happy about it...and a little freaked out.
If the banning happens, it'll happen and it won't only be because of this situation. It'll happen because the cast and crew are uncomfortable.
He is posing some dangerous trends of actions on here that I thing we as a friendly community need to say "hey man, you really need to go and talk to someone about this. Its not cool." and support him in doing so. But I definitely think its a time for a Time out for TJ. I've thought that for a long time now.
I've never said I was against the "ban," I just want to make it clear. I'm against the petition. I think this comment thread is a petition in itself, just more detailed

    ReplyDelete
  53. just wanted to add that "ban," in quotes mean that possibly later on in the future that maybe we could invite TJ back.
So like...a temporary ban. Because he really does have a deep passion and devotion for this show and the community.

    ReplyDelete
  54. It's his devotion for this community that gets me. Why would he shut himself out like this?
Purposefully exile himself with 'death'. Not sick, not injured, not comatose...but DEATH.
Does he have no grasp of the finality of death?
Did he have no intention of ever posting again?
    Why?
Banning him from this community, even for awhile, I think would be a good step. He's obviously a child and apparently not been taught a whole lot of things growing up. He doesn't seem to realize what reprocussions are and if he doesn't learn through his own errors he's going to end up dead for real.
As despicable as this action is, it's still a cry for attention. Maye even a cry for help. So help him. Ban him.

  55. Now that I've had time to calm down and hear TJ's side of the story, I'm still in support of his ban. However, if he provides a legit police report, what then? TJ has lied about so many things and was pretty much stalking the cast/crew of LG... I agree that he may have some disorder. But, it is not our place to make assumptions and decisions on that. I believe TJ needs help, but until then, he is creating drama that is hurtful to others and scary.

    ReplyDelete
  56. I took some time to think about this situation this morning and I think the creators really need to sit down and have a heart to heart with him.
Its obvious that TJ follows them where ever they go so it might not be too hard to do.
I really think someone needs to talk to him and say "These are the cause and effects of your actions in the real life and online community" and I think that some clear guide lines need to be put up and consequences.
We've given him more enough chances, but never ahve we set up clear guidelines and consequences. And when it comes to the real life, while what he did was DISGUSTING, what he is doing is dangerous (doing meaning following them around and becoming obsessive).
if people don't believe me that he follows them around, go back in the archives of the forum and look. When they revealed that they qwere in LA, he was there. When they went to london, He was there. mexico...there. Vegas...there. I've talked to him recently, and he has 100% admited to me that he lives for LG and he follows them.
I hope the communities concerns will actually stimulate the creators to sit down with him and say enough is enough and if you don't stop, we will have to make you stop. *(that sounds so mob-ish...but california has so many anti-stalking laws now...)

  57. I would just like to say is that what he did was sick...and what is even more sick is that scarlette was fake too..yup a "experiment" by a member here..I think we all need to raise some type of awareness about situations like this people in our community are being taken advantage..and it's just not right.

    ReplyDelete
  58. star: no way, serious? has there been an admission?

  59. Milowent..I wanted to write a entry here on the blogspot but I don't know how but yes..there's been a confession..they said it was a "social experiment" what they didn't know was exactly how far they had taken it..you have no idea..if you could tell me how to write a entry on here it can be explained further..the community needs to know.

  60. star: wow. i think modelmotion has to approve new authors, but if you post what you want to say in a comment here or email me at [email protected] i will post it for you.

  61. Star: I really hope what you're saying ain't true and just a misunderstanding from your side. If someone really lied about the death of Scarlette, that would be very, very sick!

  62. Star, all you need to do is send an e-mail to [email protected] and we will add you to the author list.

  63. Bianca- Honestly, I wish it wasn't true..I wish I wasn't tricked into being so close of friends with somebody who never existed all for a social experiment..but unfortunately it is true she was fake and so was "dan" the guy who took "her" in

    Modelmotion- Thanks!

    ReplyDelete
  64. Is it just me or does this sound not like another "experiment" but another Lonelygirl15/Maddison situation where something is taken to a certain point, but then revealed as...false. Except this time around it was revealed a little later then it really should have been.

    ReplyDelete
  65. KTS,

Perhaps, but with Maddison Atkins the players were never led to believe that Maddison was real.

Just watching the videos it might have appeared that way, but if anyone were to question the nature of the Maddison Atkins ARG anyone would have told you it was just a game.

    ReplyDelete
  66. Greg,
That is what I mean when I said " a little later then it really should have been."

    ReplyDelete
  67. I would just like to point out that this "star" person has yet to provide any proof for these allegations, and that we should not jump to conclusions before we see any.

Who's to say that's not TJ in disguise trying to make himself look better?
Not saying that's the case, just pointing out that, so far, all we have is an unsourced, vague allegation, that just so happens to come with the PERFECT timing to improve TJ's image.

And before you scream "but we know star! we trust her!" - didn't you trust scarlette as well? Yet you are ready to believe she deceived you.
Don't you trust me, at least to a certain extent?
...can you prove I wrote this?

  68. What next?

TJ Marsh is the cause of global warming?

    ReplyDelete
  69. I am defiantly not tjmarsh and a lot of the people from the boards know who I am especially through stickam..pretty hard to be someone else on stickam..I happen to have known "scarlette" and knew "her" entire story was lies..the person who created them has confessed and thats all there is to it..she was fake now we can all move on...95% of the people who actually knew "her" the best were the first to to question her being real simply because those who knew her well knew "her" well enough to know her story had way to many holes and lies involved..and that is including for both characters that were made up..scarlette & dan.

    ReplyDelete
  70. Star: Post the "confession" or it never happened.

You can't just say stuff like that and not give any evidence one way or the other. PLEASE, for the sanity of all of us, either reply with the confession (and preferably a link), email to [email protected], or stop saying Scarlette was a fake. Thanks.
