WHAT TIME IS IT?...Coverage of Glenn on BreeFM

Glenn, live on BreeFM @11pm EST, Wednesday.

Glenn has been listening to Paul Stanley/Kiss. He really introduces a song flamboyantly. It is good that he is keeping rock alive.

Glenn discovered the best TV show: Breaking Bad with Bryan Cranston (father - Malcolm in the Middle). When an actor who never needs to work again, returns to TV you know it is going to be quality.

From Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Breaking_Bad
Breaking Bad stars Bryan Cranston as Walter White, a struggling high school chemistry teacher with a handicapped teenage son (RJ Mitte) and pregnant wife (Anna Gunn). When the already tense White is diagnosed with terminal lung cancer, he breaks down and turns to a life of crime, setting up a meth lab with his former student Jesse Pinkman (Aaron Paul) in a desire to secure his family's future financial security.

This is not like anything else on Tv. It sounds like a joke premise. The characters are very complex and real. There is a lot of humor. It is like a dark comedy. It also has its share of tension. The rapport that exists between the main characters is incredibly entertaining. It does not pull any punches. It presents both sides in a way that is not judgemental. You are seeing someone you would not expect to be involved in this lifestyle. You see how it changes his relationship with his family in unexpected ways.

Bryan Cranston won an Emmy last year and it was entirely deserved. The show constantly goes places you would not expect it to go. There are shades of American Beauty in the first episode. New episode @ 10pm Sunday on AMC.

X-Men Origins: Wolverine
It leaked online 5 weeks before its release date in theatres (not a totally finished copy). With great movies it might not affect the box office. Here we have a movie with mixed expectations. It should be interesting to see the finished product in the theatre.

Fox has messed up with the leak. Their only play is to do something because in 5 weeks a lot of people are going to have seen it. Fox will say they added a lot of stuff to get people to want to see it. Maybe they should push the release date and shoot some stuff based on the feedback. As it stands they might be looking at a $20-50m opening instead of $70m. They could make some quick and dirty changes but the bolder move would be to significantly change it and push back the release date. If they spend $20m they could make it right and have a much better movie. Fox could actually save this situation from disaster.

From Wikipedia:
X-Men Origins: Wolverine is an upcoming superhero film based on the fictional Marvel Comics character Wolverine that will be released in most countries by May 1, 2009. The film is directed by Gavin Hood and stars Hugh Jackman as the title character. It is a prequel to the X-Men film trilogy, focusing on the mutant Wolverine and his time with Team X, before Wolverine's skeleton was bonded with the indestructible metal adamantium. The film was mostly shot in Australia and New Zealand.

UPDATE: X-Men pic "Wolverine" leaks online
Because of forensic marks, the studio said it would be able to determine the source of the leak

X-Men 3
They had so many mutants each suffered from lack of screen time.

Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles - big twist at the end. It was really good.

Dollhouse - a really good episode. It was a bit of an inside episode. This week is supposed to be awesome.
