I agree with you on your point about religious segregation, but that is not something one sees in all religions or even in all Christian churches.
The thing I like to remember is the difference between biological characteristics and behavior.
Behavior is not mandated by an arbitrary biological factor such as skin pigmentation. Anyone who tells you differently is trying to set limits on you. Don't let them.
