November 09 2009

Rossum Corporation has new website. In a clever way to promote Dollhouse's return in December, the Rossum Corporation has set up its own website explaining its mission. It includes the locations of some of the regional offices that could also be doubling as "Dollhouses". There's even a response to Senator Daniel Perrin's investigation which will be part of the show next month.

The response can be found here.
ETA: Also, note that one of the regional offices is Cleveland. Isn't that where a Hellmouth is supposed to be?

Quick summary from the way I understand it went down. Rossum Corp site discovered with phone# and email. Someone called the number and got a call back with a message saying "ditch the tech." Ditch the Tech site discovered with message. Seems to be some stuff in the source code as well.

Ditch the Tech: Potential Dollhouse ARG for the Hiatus

The website includes a video alongside a message from the future world of 2019 depicted in the episode Epitaph One.

  2. Was it just by chance that Christopher Sandberg, CEO of The Company P, was visiting LA yesterday?

  3. Why does this blog post about Dollhouse? It has nothing to do with web series and the show sucks.

  4. ARGs have always been a focus of this blog and the state of the show is a matter of opinion. I personally haven't enjoyed this season as much as the first and though I'm glad they are trying another ARG but hopefully they will fully flesh this one out. I felt the last one kind of got abandoned.

  5. So the show is covered because it has an ARG component? Plenty of TV shows have web series components, so why aren't all of those covered? Breaking Bad and Ugly Betty are two good examples. Why single out Dollhouse?

  6. The blog posts stories about what is going on in the community and what is of general interest to the community. Anon, if you feel that we have missed coverage of something of interest to the community you are welcome to sign up and become an author. Just send an email to [email protected]. We would certainly welcome any stories about TV series with web components if they are of interest to this community but it takes authors willing to write them. Are you? But yes, in general and ARG component is something the community has an interest in and that dates back to CiW.

This story has the added interest that it involved The Company P which is a company that competes in the same industry sector as Eqal, Inc. and whose CEO met with the writer of Level 26 recently.
