I still have the feeling that Facebook and the whole idea behind any site like it (MySpace, Bebo, etc...) is a fad. Eventually people will get sick/bored of it and move on to something new. But I wouldn't consider that something new the 'Facebook Killer', unless it's the same thing. People will just move on to other things. And one of those other things will be the new fad of the Internet.

Facebook is so large and dominant now that its probably going to be a player in the sense that Google is a player. However I agree it may not retain its number 1 position in terms of mind share. Its fatal flaw is probably the same as its greatest strength....... it collects your entire social graph in one place. Eventually people may find thats not exactly a great idea when you mix together, friends, family and business in one profile.
