LonsTV: Stacks web series review

On today's LonsTV, it's Web Series Wednesday once again. Lon is looking at the dramatic/sci-fi web series "Stacks," from writer/creator Kathy Forti.

It's the story of struggling writer Cali Cavaleri (played by Jackie Tohn). After accidentally stealing a dead man's phone, she discovers a portal to an inter-dimensional repository of knowledge known as the "Library of Truth." Now she's on to the biggest story of her career, and attracting the attention of a powerful and shadowy group known only as MINERVA.

Lon had a bunch of problems with the show. He felt that the story started awkwardly and the plot took a while to kick in. (He also took issue with some of the details in the show's first episode.) He complained that the show overused voice-over, and strangely mixes the character directly breaking the fourth wall and speaking to the camera ALONG WITH the character narrating the show in voice-over.
