The Louisiana road trip continues: web series puts you behind the wheel of a classic car

American Detours, a new road trip web series takes classic cars out of the garage and out onto epic American roads.

Episode 2 (airing exclusively online) features hosts Jeff Glucker (Hooniverse) and Jael De Pardo (SyFy channel) cruising the scenic Creole Nature Trail in Southwest Louisiana in an original ’71 Mustang.

American Detours is about enjoying and actually using collector cars the way they were intended: on the open road. The featured ‘71 Grabber Green Mustang is a work-in-progress and proof that classic cars don’t have to be show winners in order to provide a fun driving experience.

In Episode 2, Jael and Jeff  indulge in some authentic Creole cuisine and get a behind-the-scenes tutorial on how to make “Boudin,” a specialty of the region. They also visit The Mardi Gras Museum of Imperial Calcasieu for a history lesson on Mardi Gras and even get to try on traditional costumes.
