    While not porn, Heroes of Cosplay touches on this as well. In their cases, even the big winners at most cosplay events lose money at almost every event when you factor in materials, airfares, hotel rooms, convention passes, etc. While exposure helps, the convention circuit can cost a LOT of money unless you are local to the big events.
