Teen Web Series Did The Unthinkable!

Tweet- The Series: (A Teen Paranormal Web Series) did the unthinkable! They used "real" teen actors to portray their teen characters.
They made it their goal to showcase the awesome talent in the age-group and create a fair playing field when it came to auditions. Tweet- The Series Co-Creator/Producer, Shawn Morell pointed out, "there's something fundamentally wrong with the audition process when a 15 year-old actor has to go up against a 26 year-old actor (with their 3 year old child in tow) for the same role." We decided to use our storytelling as a vechicle to create opportunities for teens to exercise their talent and work alongside some seasoned local actors. Tweet's Season 2 is slated to premiere it's first episode on Labor Day. The series follows Fallon Ward (Taylor Blackwell, Dolphin Tale 2, Magic City), a teenager with a broken iPhone that some how mysteriously sends her psychic tweets about her life that come true. This season, Fallon's story continues where last season left off, Fallon's recent summer-time move to Florida is coming to an end and it's back to school. The story will introduce 20 new characters and a slew of teen background actors! The production has grown to the size of well, a school! The fictional "Harvey Lathrop High" (Go Bulldogs!) was filmed at a local performing arts school, "Dreyfoos School of Performing Arts" in West Palm Beach, Florida. Supported by Indiegogo campaign contributors, Marc C Zatorsky, Creator/Producer/Editor/Director was able to increase the production value this year, along with the cinematography of Jonathan Schwark. Here's a sneak-peek at Tweet- The Series: (A Teen Paranormal Web Series) SEASON 2.

Great article. How can young talent grow if they don't get the chance to play their age. I like Tweet- the series' approach in investing in tomorrow's talent. It begins on YouTube on September 1st. Can't wait!

  4. Great point, Mike. They languish in acting classes learning how to audition.

  5. I read the article and agreed with what it has to say. I have a 16 year old granddaughter who what's to act and this could have been a perfect vehicle for her. Hopefully season 3. Good luck and we will both be watching

    1. Best way to learn to be an actor is get in there!! Get her involved with the online web series world. She's going to need to be watching and learning, and engaging an audience. Tell her to start now. She needs accounts on: Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, Twitter etc. Being a storyteller means creating an audience for your stories. Tell her to find us online, she can start by interacting with the show now, before she ever shows up for Season 3 auditions. Tell her tell us that YOU sent her. ;)

  6. A big "THANK YOU" Web Series Today for the great article. Extremely lucky to be a part of Tweet - The Series. With 20 new characters this season, (holy smokes!), I have really learned a lot. It is great to be able to work such a variety of actors, including some my own age! There is a lot of talent in this cast. Looking forward to the first episode release September 1st.

  7. This is how it should be! Remember the movie Grease and the original 90210? Some of those actors were near 30 and portraying teens!

  8. Thank you so much for publishing this. Tweet also cast a lot of middle-aged actors, which is also not very common.
